The other day I coerced my friend and floor-mate Lauren to brave the cold outdoors so I could photograph her. Despite her gorgeous smile, I was just as interested in photographing these cute red berries. What are they called? (Yes, although I'm an Albertan who was a Girl Guide, and I have a nature-loving father, I haven't a clue how to identify berries beyond edible/inedible.) These were taken to share with my campus's Photography Club, of which I'm the secretary, but I really wanted to share these with my readers (with Lauren's permission, of course). Enjoy!
Great photos! I especially love the last picture and the ones with the snow heavily laying on the berries (and the pictures of your friend are fantastic too!). They're a beautiful color.
ReplyDeleteThe last photo is amazing!! That would make a lovely print!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photos! I especially love the last one, those are my two favorite colours. :)
ReplyDeleteThat'd be a mountain ash tree. :)
ReplyDeleteOh we have those trees in Sweden.
ReplyDeleteThe berries is called Rönnbär here, but in English Rowanberry, so it's a Rowan tree, but I saw that someone hade writen something else.
Googled it and moountain ash tree and a rowan tree is the same thing :)
In sweden we have a saying that if the tree has a lot of berries it will be a cold winter.
Beautiful - I would hang those on my wall. I love how the red pops out of the blue.
ReplyDeleteYour friend Lauren also looks lovely - her nails really pop ;)
