I haven't been feeling particularly fashionable as of late, but I thought I'd take advantage of the tegan & Sara concert Monday night and dress up a little. I've been wanting to try mixing stripes and floral for a while now, and I thought the stripes on this shirt were subtle enough that it wasn't overwhelming.
Cardigan - Alloy, size XXXL
Skirt - thrifted
Shirt - thrifted, size 1X
Leggings - American Apparel, size XL
Necklaces (two) - both free from the Re-use Centre
Tegan and Sara pin - purchased either at one of their concerts in 2007 or on their Maple Music webstore
Aqua coloured pin - street vendour
Owl pin - a gift to my mother from my father, and then passed down to me
The concert was really incredible. An Horse opened for them, who I'd never heard before but really liked. What I bought at the concert
T-shirt! I'll admit that their current t-shirt designs aren't my favourite, though I did like this one. What is good though is that the shirts now come in up to a unisex XXL. I have a 52" bust, 46" waist, and 53" tummy and as you can see the XXL fits quite loosely. In the past they only had their t-shirts in up to a unisex L. It's also great that all of their designs are printed on both girly and unisex shirts, unlike Ani Difranco who has some really cool designs that only come in girly sizes.
I cut the neck off, as you can see it needs a little touching up.
Fabulous arrow bag
and their EP
Cute outfit and I love the owl pin! So jealous that you got to see them although I'm glad you enjoyed it :)
ReplyDeleteThank you! I love the owl pin so much. It was a really great concert, I've seen them a few times and you should check them out if they're ever in your area.
